Overview

Administers technical cooperation programmes or specific projects of limited complexity and supports the implementation of ITPO Russia activities and Division-wide priorities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Organize, summarize, and submit project-relevant documentation, technical materials, and internal communications.
  • Analyze and interpret incoming requests, identifying issues and deviations in project implementation.
  • Draft sections of project documents, including background and justification.
  • Analyze and interpret project history and documentation, and identify, reconstruct, and document key events, decisions, and deviations.
  • Monitor specific aspects of project execution, identify issues, and propose actions to expedite delivery of inputs.
  • Utilize UNIDO system-wide project management tools, including SAP Portfolio and Project Management (PPM) and related modules, for project, financial, and travel processes.
  • Track purchase orders, ASRs, payments, budget balances, and follow up with relevant UNIDO departments on approval workflows.
  • Process budget revisions for core and ad hoc ITPO Russia projects and programmes.
  • Draft and revise budgets and work plans in line with available funds and planned expenditures, ensuring compliance with UNIDO rules and regulations.
  • Consolidate project data (status, outputs, outcomes, IRPF indicators, and risks) from SAP PPM and draft inputs for monitoring, reporting, and evaluation exercises.
  • Inform experts, consultants, and project participants about logistical arrangements and internal procedures related to monitoring and reporting for project objectives.
  • Support the organization of investment and technology promotion events, matchmaking activities, missions, meetings, and conferences of ITPO Russia.
  • Prepare briefings, background materials, and provide logistical support for visitors and missions.
  • Support experts, consultants, and contractors with relevant inputs and information from HQ.
  • Keep project teams informed of deadlines and procedures and propose actions to accelerate delivery.
  • Contribute to the preparation of advocacy, promotional, and informational materials (e.g., briefings, talking points, reports, websites) for GLO/ITP.
  • Support partnership development and resource mobilization efforts of ITPO Russia.
  • Draft comments on specific aspects of project progress for programme monitoring purposes.
  • Support the Director of GLO/ITP and the Division in cross-divisional coordination, including preparing inputs for meetings and engagements within the ITP network.
  • Maintain institutional memory and comprehensive documentation systems that capture project history and ongoing activities, supporting effective reporting and knowledge management.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Experience

At least three (3) years of work experience in an area relevant to the Directorate of Global Partnerships and External Relations, including experience in the administration, coordination or implementation of projects and programmes in international organizations, governmental authorities or the private sector is required.

Qualifications

Advanced university degree (master’s or equivalent) in engineering, sciences, economics, business administration, international relations or other relevant discipline with specialization in trade, project management, SME development or Corporate Governance, is required.
