Overview

The Programme Associate (Monitoring) will strengthen the Monitoring function by supporting effective monitoring practices, structured data management, and quality assurance. The role will contribute to harmonized monitoring systems, facilitate coordination, and ensure reliable data flows for reporting and decision-making.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to maintain methodological rigor in monitoring, including contributions to sampling and tool design.
  • Maintain structured data management processes from collection to analysis and archiving.
  • Conduct validation, consolidation, cleaning, and quality assurance of monitoring data.
  • Support analysis and visualization of monitoring data and assist in drafting reports.
  • Support planning and facilitate coordination of field monitoring activities.
  • Maintain internal monitoring findings tracking and escalation system.
  • Support the oversight of WFP’s partners monitoring activities.
  • Participate in field monitoring missions.
  • Support the training of data collectors.
  • Collaborate with the Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP) team.
  • Perform other assigned tasks.
Required Experience

Six or more years of progressively responsible work experience, with at least one year of experience of data analysis in a monitoring function. Specific experience in analysis of project monitoring data (including survey data), excellent data management skills, and familiarity with digital data collection tools (e.g. Kobo, ODK) and coding/translation of surveys is required. Post-secondary education can compensate for some years of experience.

Qualifications

Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in a relevant area will be an advantage. Coursework/trainings in statistics, econometrics, database management, data visualisation, household economics or other relevant topics is an advantage.
