Overview
To provide specialized support functions and/or supervise staff performing standard logistics/supply chain processes and activities to enable effective delivery of goods and services for all delivery modalities.
Tasks Summary
- Support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of supply chain capacity strengthening activities.
- Support analysis of country and regional supply chain contexts, identify operational challenges, and contribute to the development of practical solutions.
- Assist in the implementation of new supply chain initiatives, tools, and approaches.
- Contribute to the identification of best practices and lessons learned.
- Support the monitoring of activities, budgets, and resources.
- Support collaboration with internal supply chain functions and external counterparts.
- Support adherence to supply chain policies, procedures, and controls.
- Support accurate and timely reporting on supply chain activities.
- Contribute to preparedness actions by supporting risk analysis, contingency planning, and monitoring of supply chain readiness.
- Support the Unit's emergency response activities.
- Deploy to affected countries to assist with Unit operations as required.
- Work beyond regular working hours to support emergency response efforts.
Experience Requirements
- Experience maintaining corporate systems and running queries on ongoing shipments, pipeline information, insurance claims, and food stock.
- Experience in administering third party service providers’ contracts.
- Experience in compiling contract documentation.
- Experience in contract execution.
- Experience in budget monitoring and reporting.
Qualification Requirements
- Completion of secondary school education.
- A post-secondary certificate in the related functional area.
