Overview

This role provides support for policy and programme activities to effectively meet school feeding needs.


Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the planning and development of school feeding activities.
  • Provide support for the management of school feeding projects.
  • Ensure regular monitoring of school feeding activities.
  • Contribute to the analysis of operational and programmatic issues related to school feeding.
  • Participate in the preparation of technical and operational reports.
  • Liaise with sub-offices and internal WFP teams and coordinate with external partners.
  • Support the identification and development of partnerships.
  • Contribute to capacity building of stakeholders involved in school feeding.
  • Provide support to support staff involved in school feeding activities.
  • Undertake any other tasks required to support the effective implementation of school feeding activities.
Required Experience

More than 3 years of relevant professional experience in development, food security, nutrition, education, or programme management is desired. Experience in supporting programme implementation, particularly in contexts related to school feeding or social interventions, is an asset.

Qualifications

University degree (Bachelor's or equivalent) in international development, project management, social sciences, education, nutrition, agriculture, economics, or a related field.

Languages Preferred
Good knowledge of English. Knowledge of the national education system and/or school feeding programmes is an asset. Knowledge of United Nations system policies, rules and procedures would be an advantage.
