Overview

Strengthen capacity on age, gender, and diversity mainstreaming across NRC Project Cycle Management and Core Competencies. Support the implementation of the Palestine Action Plan on Safe and Inclusive Programming and the Age, Gender, and Diversity Mainstreaming Roadmap.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on the implementation of the 2026 CO SIP Action Plan and Gender-Mainstreaming Road Map.
  • Coordinate/develop and roll-out in-person and online trainings on various SIP standards and age, gender, and diversity mainstreaming.
  • Work closely with Core Competency specialists to implement CC-specific SIP Action plans.
  • Provide specific SIP and safeguarding awareness sessions, resources, and capacity building for implementing partners.
  • Support the Country Office strategy and programming process, integrate SIP from analysis to proposal.
  • Work closely with programmes teams, MEAL unit, and proposals unit to ensure SIP principles are integrated into project design, monitoring, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Support SIP Focal Points with ongoing capacity strengthening and mentoring.
  • Support and find avenues for the integration of SIP into NRC’s programming, systems, documents and routines.
  • Provide NRC management with an analysis of the progress in integrating SIP in programming and processes.
Required Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience within protection mainstreaming, and/or gender, age, diversity mainstreaming preferably in a humanitarian context.
  • Particular experience within gender mainstreaming is a plus.
  • Experience in developing and delivering high quality protection-related training and tools to support practical implementation of protection standards.
  • Experience in team capacity building.
Qualifications

• Advanced academic qualification in a relevant field (law, social sciences or related disciplines).

Languages Required
• Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and spoken.
Languages Preferred
• Knowledge of the context in Gaza and West Bank desirable.
