Overview
The Programme Analyst – Women’s Economic Empowerment is responsible for providing technical leadership, programme management and coordination, partner oversight, monitoring, reporting and stakeholder engagement across all WEE components under the SRDHT programme. The role ensures high-quality, gender-responsive implementation aligned with national and local priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute technically to the development of programme strategies in Women’s and Youth Economic Empowerment, Gender Equality and Leadership.
- Provide technical support for the implementation and management of the WEE-GEWE programme.
- Provide technical assistance and capacity development support to project/programme partners.
- Provide technical inputs to the monitoring and reporting of the programme/project.
- Provide technical inputs to the management of people and finances of the WEE programme.
- Contribute to building partnerships and resource mobilization strategies.
- Provide technical inputs to inter-agency coordination on Women’s Economic Empowerment and Gender Equality.
- Provide inputs to advocacy, knowledge building and communication efforts.
- Perform other duties within their functional profile as required.
Required Experience
- At least 2 years of progressively responsible experience in development programme or project implementation, including coordination, monitoring and evaluation, reporting, and capacity building is required.
- Experience in women’s economic empowerment programming, including livelihoods development, entrepreneurship, financial inclusion, market systems/value chain development, or skills development programs.
- Experience working on gender equality, women’s empowerment, or gender-responsive development programming.
- Experience working with government institutions, civil society organizations, or private sector actors on development or resilience programs.
- Experience in partner coordination and engagement with UN agencies, donors, or multi-stakeholder programs.
- Experience working in humanitarian, fragile, or displacement-affected contexts is an asset.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Gender Studies, Economics, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Public Policy, Business Administration, Rural Development, International Development, or a related field is required.
- A first-level university degree in the above-mentioned fields combined with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
- A project/programme management certification (such as PMP®, PRINCE2®, or MSP®) would be an added advantage.
