Overview

Strengthen institutional capacity to develop Health Promotion policies and implement appropriate programmes, and develop required Human Resources to promote health and address challenges effectively.


Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain partnerships and networks to strengthen multidisciplinary and multisectoral collaboration.
  • Analyze and undertake research on public health topics to support national plans.
  • Technically assist in monitoring work plans and budgets.
  • Technically support the promotion of health in all policies.
  • Analyze information on best practices in public health and health systems.
  • Participate in capacity building in public health systems.
  • Utilize understanding of national and subnational cultural norms for community outreach.
  • Contribute to drafting public health reports.
  • Ensure collaboration with international and national partners for NCD surveillance.
  • Technically assist the ministry of health in policy development and evaluation.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE).
  • Perform other activities assigned by supervisors.
Required Experience

A minimum of two years of work experience relevant to the position (in public health and disease control program management, working with national /international organizations involved in health promotion, public health or development).

Qualifications

A university degree (bachelor's) in a relevant field (such as health, public health, social sciences) from a recognized University.

Expert knowledge of Portuguese.
Languages Preferred
Intermediate knowledge of English. Intermediate knowledge of French.

Remuneration
Remuneration comprises an annual base salary starting at XOF 21,352,000 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable) and 30 days of annual leave.
