Overview
The Procurement Assistant will support the procurement unit in managing end-to-end procurement processes in compliance with UN regulations, contributing to transparency, accountability, and best value for money.
Key Responsibilities
- Review specifications, terms of reference, and scopes of requirements for goods and services.
- Prepare detailed source selection plans.
- Draft and prepare solicitation documents, including ITBs, RFPs, and RFQs.
- Review Technical Evaluation Reports (TERs).
- Perform detailed commercial and financial evaluations of submitted bids and proposals.
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders, contracts, and other relevant procurement documents.
- Monitor the delivery and performance of procured goods and services.
- Maintain close collaboration and communication with internal stakeholders.
- Maintain and regularly update all logs, records, and tracking tools used to monitor and document procurement activities.
- Proactively contribute to improving procurement processes.
Required Experience
3 years Relevant experience 3 years Experience in procurement working in international organizations, Peace Operations and/or Governmental/Military Operations. Experience in ERP systems. Experience in procurement of high-value and complex requirements is desirable.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business administration, Public administration, Commerce, Engineering, Law or a related field.
