Overview

Consultant to oversee and contribute to the gender-based violence work stream of the Child Protection section, including coordination, technical inputs, program monitoring, capacity building, advocacy, networking, and partnership building.


Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and contribute to the gender-based violence work stream of Child protection section including coordination and technical inputs to on-going programmes
  • Program monitoring and quality control of results
  • Capacity building and innovation, knowledge management
  • Advocacy, networking and partnership building
Required Experience
  • A minimum of two years’ professional experience in the field of GBViE, preferably with a UN agency.
  • Field experience in supporting the management of GBViE projects
  • Experience in delivering GBViE-related trainings
Qualifications

Advanced university degree (Bachelor’s or higher) Social Sciences, Psychology, social work or related technical field is required.

Fluency in written and oral English is required. Another local language, especially Tigrigna, is a requirement for this role.
