Overview
The intern will support the Social Policy Section in evidence generation, knowledge management, monitoring and evaluation, programme coordination, and communication activities related to cash transfer programmes and social protection interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support analysis, compilation and organization of quantitative and qualitative evidence related to cash transfer programmes.
- Assist with desk-based reviews of assessments, post-distribution monitoring (PDM) reports, programme documents, and administrative data related to social protection interventions.
- Contribute to summarizing key findings on vulnerability, inclusion and programme performance.
- Contribute to drafting of donor reports, annual reports, or programme summaries.
- Support documentation of lessons learned, best practices, and emerging evidence.
- Support drafting or contributing inputs to analytical outputs related to cash transfer interventions.
- Support review and documentation of existing monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks, indicators, or results.
- Assist in compiling information for results monitoring, learning, and reporting purposes.
- Contribute to capturing lessons learned and emerging insights from programme implementation and analytical work.
- Support coordination with other UNICEF sections to promote integrated approaches to social protection.
- Assist in organizing meetings, workshops and consultations with government counterparts, UN agencies, and development partners.
- Support follow-up on meetings and action points.
- Support communication and visibility of the social protection programme and interventions.
- Contribute to development of communication materials and products.
- Support documentation and organization of communication and visibility inputs.
Qualifications
- Enrolment in a degree programme in an undergraduate or graduate school, or recent graduate.
- Strong academic performance as demonstrated by recent university or institution records.
