Overview
The Individual Contractor will perform technical evaluation, system restore, deliver technical training, and provide technical maintenance for the CAPVE website. The role aims to ensure the platform's full functionality, security, and usability for administrators.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a technical evaluation and system restore, including upgrading PHP and WordPress plugins, testing backend and frontend elements, optimizing cross-browser compatibility, and ensuring administrator access to content update tools.
- Deliver a 1-hour online training session for website administrators on backend updates, content management, and troubleshooting.
- Provide technical maintenance, including core security patches and stability updates, twice quarterly.
- Implement stable, secure alternatives for deprecated plugins and liaise with UNODC on core CMS features.
- Coordinate all technical activities and report progress to the UNODC Officer.
- Provide concise, structured progress reports accompanying each deliverable.
Required Experience
- At least 7 (seven) years of proven professional experience in full-stack web development, specifically managing, building, and fixing advanced WordPress CMS environments is required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in PHP, database management, web server configuration, responsive design, and modern cybersecurity protocols for web platforms is required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Formal qualifications or certifications from a recognized national or international educational institution related to computer science, information technology, graphic or web design is desirable.
