Overview

The Legal Analyst will provide transaction-related legal support to internal clients for blended finance projects and debt mobilization initiatives. The role involves preparing, reviewing, and negotiating various legal documents and providing legal advice on policies and procedures.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide transaction-related legal support for blended finance projects, including preparing, reviewing, and negotiating loan documentation, mandate letters, term sheets, and side letters.
  • Provide legal support to the Trust Funds unit, including preparing, reviewing, and negotiating trust fund administration agreements and framework agreements.
  • Provide legal advice on policies and procedures applicable to blended finance and trust fund operations, including compliance matters.
  • Provide legal support in developing internal guidance documents, forms, and templates for blended finance and trust fund activities.
  • Provide transaction-related legal support for syndications products, including preparing, reviewing, and negotiating participation agreements, credit insurance policies, loan agreements, intercreditor agreements, mandate letters, and term sheets.
  • Provide legal support for new debt mobilization initiatives and related policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with external counsel on debt mobilization transactions and programs.
  • Assist in responding to ad hoc questions related to debt mobilization transactions and programs.
  • Provide legal support in developing internal guidance documents, forms, and templates for debt mobilization activities.
  • Assist with administrative coordination within CLED and other IFC departments.
  • Provide legal support on matters related to general IFC investment operations.
  • Perform other ancillary and associated tasks, including administrative tasks, as may be required.
Required Experience
  • At least 5 years of relevant paralegal experience in a law firm or financial institution.
  • Experience drafting and reviewing legal documentation.
  • Experience coordinating or managing projects and innovative initiatives in the area of cross border syndications and lending.
Qualifications

• Relevant undergraduate university degree.
