Overview
The Programme and Supply Chain Coordinator will provide regional oversight across all Darfur states, ensuring effective coordination, implementation, monitoring, and delivery of TB, HIV, and malaria programmes. The role also ensures effective coordination, planning, and operational oversight of supply chain management across Darfur.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure effective TB, HIV and Malaria programme coordination, planning, alignment, and operational oversight across all Darfur states.
- Organize and facilitate quarterly and bi-annual programme review meetings.
- Conduct regular field supervision visits to states, localities, and health facilities.
- Ensure effective coordination and communication between state-level implementation and national disease programmes.
- Monitor performance of implementing partners and service providers.
- Assess security conditions and advise UNDP on implications for programme delivery.
- Map NGOs, CSOs, and CBOs operating in Darfur and explore potential collaboration opportunities.
- Ensure effective TB, HIV and Malaria programme monitoring, evaluation, reporting, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure availability and distribution of standardized programme recording and reporting (R&R) tools.
- Organize and support training for health staff and partners.
- Facilitate data validation and review meetings and support integration of data into electronic systems.
- Implement data quality assurance mechanisms.
- Ensure effective coordination, planning, and operational oversight of supply chain management across Darfur.
- Provide state-level leadership for end-to-end supply chain management.
- Coordinate supply chain planning, linking programme needs, quantification, and distribution plans.
- Oversee in-land and cross-border logistics.
- Coordinate last-mile distribution to health facilities.
- Organize quarterly state-level logistics coordination meetings.
- Collaborate with NMSF, FMoH, and partners to strengthen supply chain systems.
- Ensure effective monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of supply chain performance.
- Ensure timely submission of monthly LMIS and consumption reports.
- Conduct quarterly supply chain supervisory visits and spot checks.
- Maintain updated mapping of functional and non-functional facilities.
- Identify and escalate supply chain risks and recommend corrective actions.
Required Experience
- Minimum five years of progressive relevant experience in the programme management, Supply Chain management, Operations or Monitoring and evaluation functions
- Experience of working in conflict affected areas to support programmes in resuming and expanding service and operations at sub-national and service delivery points
- Experience working with diverse stakeholders in government, NGOs, CSO, UN entities and other development partners
- Work experience with public health sector or national disease programme is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of health programme implementation at sub-national level
- Proven experience in assessing the performance of programmes or supply chain and writing detailed reports and presentations
- Field experience and knowledge of Darfur region and context and key players relevant to deliver effective TB, HIV and Malaria services in the region
Qualifications
Master's degree in Management studies, Social Sciences, Public Health, Health Sciences, Medicine, Pharmacy, Statistics, Demography, Social Science or any relevant field .
