Overview
The Planning Officer will provide technical support for developing and monitoring Annual Work Plans, coordinating micro plans for OR-funded grants, and supporting country programme reviews. The role also involves coordinating planning and reporting for the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework and contributing to knowledge management within the country office.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for developing and monitoring Annual Work Plans, including reporting on equity and gender markers.
- Coordinate the development and monitoring of micro plans for OR-funded grants.
- Provide technical support in organizing and managing country programme reviews.
- Provide technical support with monitoring work plan implementation, including review of Direct Cash Transfers.
- Provide technical support with developing and strengthening issue-based planning mechanisms.
- Provide technical support with the improvement of other planning systems and processes.
- Coordinate annual planning and reporting on commitments to the UNSDCF.
- Provide technical support with other UN-wide engagement on the UNSDCF and CCA.
- Engage sections in developing knowledge products from surveys, evaluations, and best practices.
- Engage in office level planning by ensuring knowledge integration into the planning cycle.
- Provide technical support with IMEP implementation from a quality-review and Knowledge Management lens.
- Other activities as required to drive knowledge management.
Required Experience
- 5 years of relevant experience.
- Relevant experience with UNICEF is considered an asset.
Qualifications
• Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, Data Science, Planning/Monitoring/Evaluation, Development Studies, Statistics, or Information Studies.
