Overview
Provide HR support for the engagement of affiliate personnel, including consultants and individual contractors, and manage HR-related information and statistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to UNODC field operations and other clients in HR related matters especially to the engagement of affiliate personnel.
- Review and process requests for the engagement and contract management of consultants and individual contractors.
- Review and process requests for the engagement and contract management of gratis personnel.
- Assist in the management of UN Volunteers and LICA holders.
- Review and approve relevant records in different systems, including fund commitments for affiliate personnel.
- Maintain automated applications and databases containing HR-related information and statistics, and prepare periodic reports.
- Prepare necessary documentation related to the engagement of affiliate personnel.
- Perform periodic and ad-hoc trainings to clients.
- Undertake research on a range of HR related issues and assist in the preparation of notes/reports.
- Support the development and implementation of affiliate-personnel-related initiatives and policies.
- Provide comments, guidance and assistance to stakeholders on all aspects of the engagement process.
- Assist with the collection and analysis of data as well as preparation of data presentations and reports.
- Assist with visualizations and updating information material.
- Train and provide guidance to new and lower-level staff in the Unit.
- Perform other work-related duties as required.
Required Experience
A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible work experience in human resources management, administrative services or related area is required. Work experience with an Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) system, e.g., SAP/Umoja, is required. Work experience in working with human-resources policies and procedures of the United Nations or a similar international organization is desirable. Work experience with human-resources modules of an ERP system, preferably SAP, and a talent management system within the UN or a similar international organization is desirable. Experience with the engagement of consultants is desirable.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
