Overview
Support the Director of the Group Strategy Office in advancing the institution’s philanthropy agenda, including the design and implementation of a philanthropy strategy and the establishment of a dedicated Hub.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and operationalization of the World Bank Group’s philanthropy strategy, including analytical inputs, stakeholder mapping, and identification of priority engagement areas.
- Act as a liaison between the Group Strategy Office and the Philanthropy Engagement team, ensuring effective communication, alignment of priorities, and coordination of joint initiatives.
- Contribute to the establishment and functioning of the philanthropy Hub, including supporting governance arrangements, workflows, and collaboration mechanisms across teams and regions.
- Support engagement with external partners, including foundations, philanthropic organizations, and global networks, helping to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities for collaboration.
- Develop analytical and forward-looking materials to inform strategic decision-making on philanthropy, including trends analysis, partner intelligence, and lessons learned from operations.
Required Experience
- 5+ years of work experience in partnerships, strategy, international organizations, or development operations.
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement, partnerships, or external relations, preferably in a multilateral or humanitarian context.
- Strong analytical skills, including experience in preparing strategic briefs, synthesizing information, and supporting decision-making processes.
- Experience working across headquarters and field settings, with an understanding of operational contexts and coordination challenges.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in a business administration, international policy, economics or other relevant field/discipline
