Overview

Two Field Development Officers are sought to empower children, young people, and communities to actively participate in local development processes. The role involves supporting child-centered and gender-responsive programs, strengthening community capacity, and promoting children's rights and protection.


Key Responsibilities
  • Strengthen children's and youth organizations.
  • Ensure representation of children and young people in strategic forums.
  • Facilitate children's and youth organizations in developing work programs.
  • Prepare village communities and CBOs to support program implementation.
  • Prepare traditional figures, religious leaders, and community leaders.
  • Identify issues related to children and young people.
  • Propose project priorities.
  • Advocate and mentor village governments.
  • Build networks with CBOs and civil society organizations.
  • Facilitate groups/organizations of children and young people.
  • Coordinate and monitor other Plan-funded projects.
  • Ensure the quantity and quality of sponsorship communication products.
  • Ensure the implementation of sponsorship commitments.
  • Orient, accompany, and explain sponsors.
  • Raise public awareness of dangers of unannounced visits.
  • Conduct capacity building, training, and mentoring for volunteers.
  • Meet with SCs and families annually.
  • Make home visits, reports, and follow-ups.
  • Monitor SC wellbeing gap.
  • Facilitate sponsorship visits.
  • Inform about Yayasan Plan International Indonesia activities.
  • Discuss issues and problems of children and young people.
  • Ensure village/sub-district governments are involved in activities.
  • Ensure project monitoring and reporting requirements are met.
  • Ensure liquidation and financial documents are timely and of good quality.
  • Carry out safeguarding principles.
  • Commit to building professionalism and a culture of protection.
  • Participate in safeguarding training and recertification.
Required Experience
  • At least 1 year of experience working on community development, project management.
  • Experiences in organization management (for fresh graduates).
  • Experience of implementing project on a day to day basic.
  • Experience in organizing event.
  • At least 1-year experience or skills around connecting or working with young people (desirable).
Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Social Science or others relevant field.
