Overview
The Associate Investment Officer, Infrastructure role focuses on developing IFC’s infrastructure business in South Asia and executing debt and equity investments for infrastructure projects across Asia Pacific, as well as supervising portfolio investments.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to originating, executing and managing viable investment transactions across the capital structure.
- Prepare investment or advisory committee materials focusing on financial and nonfinancial risk assessments and deal structuring.
- Develop a strong pipeline of good quality investment opportunities.
- Participate as part of teams in putting together sector interventions and client engagement plans.
- Work closely and coordinate with Knowledge Bank staff members, Country Managers and Officers, World Bank and MIGA colleagues.
- Coordinate closely with social, environmental, gender and technical assistance colleagues.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, global and regional private businesses, banking and multilateral partners.
- Guide, advise, mentor, and coach junior staff and peers.
- Share lessons learned and knowledge to generate innovative ideas, products, or solutions.
Required Experience
At least 4-5 years of relevant experience. Relevant experience could include a proven track record in developing and/or financing projects and operations in one or more of the transport, energy, telecom and urban infrastructure sectors.
Qualifications
Master's degree in a related field. Related fields of education include business, finance, or economics or an area of expertise specific to a sector, subject matter, or industry specialty.
