Overview
The Human Resources Associate is responsible for managing resource management functions within the IOM Armenia Country Office, supporting recruitment processes and personnel administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating recruitment processes, including drafting Terms of Reference, posting Vacancy Notices, screening applications, and conducting reference checks.
- Carry out and coordinate pre-employment activities, including EOD documentation, medical exams, and insurance enrollment.
- Perform roles in the organizational HR system, ensuring data consistency and accuracy, and monitoring contractual situations.
- Act as Timekeeper, monitoring and reconciling leave quotas and generating leave reports.
- Prepare documentation for various HR actions such as separation, classification, and promotion.
- Prepare personnel reports and draft routine correspondence.
- Update and maintain electronic and physical archiving systems for HR documents.
- Assist in monitoring compliance with the performance evaluation process.
- Organize HR events, including staff development and training activities.
- Provide information to staff on their entitlements and responsibilities.
- Identify areas for improvement in HR procedures.
- Participate in inter-agency HR working groups.
- Provide guidance and training to new/junior staff.
Required Experience
- High School diploma with five years of relevant experience; or, Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field with three years of relevant professional experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-mail, Outlook.
- Previous experience in SAP is a distinct advantage.
- Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
