Overview

The role involves providing administrative support to the Head of Unit and unit staff within the Directorate-General for Interpretation, focusing on managing the Duty Officer system, business continuity, and event preparation.


Key Responsibilities
  • Management of the DG's Duty Officer system and Business continuity management.
  • Assisting in setting up and preparing meetings, training sessions, and other events, drafting minutes, and ensuring follow-up.
  • Coordinating the publication of updated procedure documents for the Unit's activities.
  • Providing general administrative support to the Head of Unit and unit staff.
  • Assisting the Head of Unit in human-resource-related matters.
Required Experience

Appropriate professional experience of at least three years if secondary education diploma is held.

Qualifications
  • A level of post-secondary education attested by a diploma, or
  • A level of secondary education attested by a diploma giving access to post-secondary education.
Other Details
Languages Required
• A thorough knowledge (minimum level C1) of one of the 24 official languages of the EU. • A satisfactory knowledge (minimum level B2) of a second official language of the EU, to the extent necessary for the performance of the duties.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of any other language would be an asset.
Contract Duration
The duration of the 1st contract will be up to 4 years. The contract might then be extended only once for a maximum of 2 years.
Work Modality
The place of employment will be Brussels.
Remuneration
The pay of staff members consists of a basic salary supplemented with specific allowances, including, where applicable, expatriation and family allowances. The recruitment grade will be calculated based on the qualifications and the number of years of professional experience.
