Overview
The National Project Officer (NP1) will contribute to the implementation of extra-budgetary projects within the Economic and Environmental Dimension (EED) of the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan (PCUz). The role focuses on supporting the "Platform for Environment and Climate Engagement in Central Asia (PEaCE CA)" project.
Key Responsibilities
- Implements and co-ordinates extra-budgetary projects and activities relating to economic and environmental issues.
- Establishes and maintains contacts with government officials, institutions, donors, and OSCE structures.
- Co-ordinates project implementation by identifying problems and proposing actions.
- Drafts comments on project progress and inputs to project monitoring.
- Drafts project revisions, including adjustments to budgets.
- Prepares correspondence, organizes official visits, conferences, workshops, and meetings.
- Drafts concept notes and terms of reference for project consultants and requests for proposals.
- Oversees technical support of the Green Digital Platform.
Required Experience
- At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in project management in research, academic, government, civil society, international organization, or private sector institution dealing with environmental issues.
- Demonstrated project management skills, including procurement or contracts administration, preferably acquired in an international organization or a mission environment.
- Experience in supervising joint international and national (government and/or NGO) projects.
- Experience in consulting and corresponding with government representatives.
- Experience working with digital platforms and/or repositories is preferred.
Qualifications
• First-level university degree in environmental studies, economics, development, international relations, or related fields.
