Overview
The Monitoring and Reporting Analyst will support projects implemented under the Regional and Local Economic Development Programme (RLEDP), leading the development and implementation of monitoring, evaluation, and reporting systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive M&E plans.
- Design, refine, and oversee the application of M&E tools and methodologies.
- Serve as the primary M&E focal point within the Programme.
- Ensure tracking of project performance through the collection of appropriate and credible data.
- Lead data monitoring and analysis.
- Coordinate the work of consultants and/or organizations contracted for M&E assignments.
- Contribute to annual programme reviews and planning processes.
- Provide inputs to the development of Terms of Reference (TORs) for evaluations.
- Support the work of evaluators.
- Lead the preparation and ensure timely delivery of high-quality reporting documents.
- Provide substantive support in preparing reporting packages for donors and stakeholders.
- Review and validate M&E reports and supplementary materials.
- Liaise with relevant UNDP Country Office teams and provide inputs to corporate strategic reports.
- Contribute to the development of the Country Office annual report.
- Work closely with the Programme team to ensure lessons learned are documented.
- Analyze evidence to inform management decision-making.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and networking on M&E-related topics.
- Contribute to knowledge networks and communities of practice.
- Promote continuous learning.
- Assist with ensuring the Programme contributes to the promotion of gender equality.
- Use the principles of gender-responsive communications.
- Be aware of relevant gender issues and concerns.
- Support the promotion of team culture of gender equality and zero tolerance to any sexual misconduct.
- Assist with informing and briefing personnel and partners about corporate sexual harassment and sexual exploitation and abuse policies.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years (with Master’s degree) or 4 years (with Bachelor’s degree) of relevant working experience, at the national and international level, in Monitoring and Evaluation or related development work.
- Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.)
Qualifications
- Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Social Sciences, Data Analysis, Statistics, Economics, Public Administration, Business Administration, Technology, or related field is required; or
- A first-level degree (Bachelor’s degree) in the areas mentioned above in combination with an additional 2 years of qualifying experience.
