Overview
This role supports the effective management and delivery of regional Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) and Prospects programme activities, ensuring alignment with approved workplans, budgets, and donor requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supports day-to-day programme implementation by following up with country offices on progress, identifying challenges, and supporting corrective actions.
- Assists in situation analyses, annual planning, and preparation of programme documentation.
- Provides technical support and ensures quality assurance across programme implementation, including coordinating technical reviews and supporting adherence to Environmental and Social Safeguards (ESS).
- Works closely with government counterparts, partners, and country teams to strengthen technical capacity through training, knowledge exchange, and strategic partnership development.
- Contributes to monitoring, evaluation, and reporting processes by supporting performance tracking systems, participating in field missions, and assisting in the preparation of donor and annual reports.
- Documents programme results, risks, and lessons learned, and supports evaluation exercises.
- Manages knowledge by documenting best practices, supporting learning initiatives, and contributing to communication products.
- Supports policy and systems strengthening efforts by following up on policy analyses, tracking key action points, and coordinating system-strengthening initiatives.
- Provides operational and coordination support to the Programme Management Unit (PMU), including contributing to procurement, reporting, and technical documentation.
- Supports financial monitoring and compliance with organizational procedures.
- Strengthens partnerships and collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders to enhance programme impact, sustainability, and advocacy efforts.
Required Experience
- 7 years relevant experience in programme implementation, coordination, monitoring and reporting.
- Experience supporting WASH or related sector programmes in development, or displacement affected contexts (HDP nexus).
- Experience working under senior technical or managerial guidance.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Water Engineering, Environmental engineering, Environmental sciences, Civil engineering, or a field related to international WASH programming is required.
