Overview
Ensure the quality of protection monitoring and community-based protection interventions by providing technical support to teams and partners. The role contributes to the development of area strategies and action plans, focusing on case management and community-based protection.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in capacity building and supervision of protection assistants and partner staff on Community Based Protection (CBP) processes.
- Support capacity development through training and coaching of CBPG members and Protection Focal Points.
- Monitor and provide technical support to protection assistants and partner staff on facilitation of CBP training and development of community action plans.
- Assist in capacity assessment of partners and CBPG members.
- Submit internal monthly protection reports/trackers in English.
- Liaise with IM and MEAL Office based staff for accurate data management.
- Develop monthly and weekly work plans for protection awareness sessions and PSS activities.
- Ensure protection awareness sessions and PSS activities reflect protection trends and community needs.
- Support strengthening local networks and building relationships with stakeholders and partners.
- Coordinate with CSO partners and relevant stakeholders in the field.
- Motivate protection assistants for quality product and cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate with MEAL team for data accuracy and surveys.
- Strengthen coordination with protection case management team.
- Draft relevant financial and procurement documents.
- Support recruitment of new Incentive workers.
Required Experience
- At least 2 years of work experience, preferably in humanitarian and/or similar programs with (I)NGOs or UN agencies with excellent references.
- Strong understanding and experience of Protection Principles, Protection Monitoring and Community Based Protection Approaches and principles.
- Experience in working with local CSOs/CBOs, partnership engagement and networking.
- Understanding of protection issues in Kachin State context.
