Operates digital printing equipment and performs related tasks to support documentation and publication production.


Key Responsibilities
  • Participates in operating digital printing equipment.
  • Operates finishing equipment.
  • Receives jobs in various formats.
  • Interfaces with team leads for job understanding.
  • Maintains knowledge of health and safety practices.
  • Maintains a clean work area.
  • Informs supervisor of equipment problems.
  • Performs operator level maintenance on equipment.
  • Monitors and manages inventory of supplies.
  • Assists more junior staff.
  • Rotates in shifts and performs weekend on-call duties.
  • Assists with data collection, analysis, and report preparation.
Required Experience

A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in pre-press and digital printing is required. The minimum years of relevant experience is reduced by (2) years for candidates who possess a first level University degree. Experience in the use of digital booklet finishing Units, digital paper cutters, die cutting equipment and thermal wide format laminators is required. Experience in the use of UV LED Flat bed large format printers and latex large format printers is desirable. Work experience of one (1) year or more in data analytics or related area is desirable.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required. Supplementary training in digital printing technologies including equipment operations is required.
