Overview
The consultant will support the implementation of the DTM Flow Monitoring Surveys under the supervision of the Chief of Mission in Greece. The role involves collecting and reporting data on migrants and refugees.
Key Responsibilities
- Update information on flow monitoring points (FMPs) on a regular basis.
- Collect GPS points of FMPs when necessary.
- Liaise with DTM Focal Point for Greece and other IOM staff to coordinate data collection.
- Compile and report information on migrants and refugees.
- Conduct Flow Monitoring Surveys (FMS) using Kobo application.
- Comply with DTM’s FMS Guidelines.
- Report weekly on activities conducted and realities/issues encountered.
- Report monthly on activities conducted and against established target number of surveys.
- Respect IOM’s Data Protection Principles.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
- High school diploma with at least three years of experience, or first-level university degree with at least one year of experience.
- Experience in the field of vulnerable groups and/or migrants is required.
- Previous experience in conducting personal interviews with migrants or others is required.
- Experience in writing reports and documents in English is considered as an asset.
- Previous experience with international organizations, NGOs, EU Agencies is considered as an asset.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or first-level university degree.
- Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in migration, social sciences, anthropology, sociology, humanitarian action or related fields is desirable.
