Overview

The Supply Chain Assistant (Procurement) is responsible for the effective implementation of the Procurement Process in Sittwe, Rakhine, ensuring goods and services are sourced and procured transparently, efficiently, and accountably, achieving the Best Value for Money.


Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily procurement activities as the procurement focal person in coordination with the requestor, budget approvers and suppliers.
  • Responsible for getting all required signatures on procurement documents (e.g. PR, RFQ, RFP, CBA, PO/Contract, Payment authorization) following SCI procedures.
  • Assist ASCC for communicating with suppliers to get quotes, specifications and quality information.
  • Ensure all suppliers are vetted before PO/Contract and regular monitoring of procurement activities.
  • Receive invoices from suppliers, check correctness and completeness, and forward payment requests with supporting documentation to ASCC, monitoring timely payment.
  • Ensure compliance of all Goods / Services buying procurement processes with supporting documents.
  • Make sure negotiations with suppliers are performed efficiently and in line with procurement policy and manuals.
  • Assist ASCC on conducting local Market survey and price list survey.
  • Update procurement process to procurement data administrator for quality data for procurement KPI report and other Procurement reports.
  • Respond flexibly to changing program needs, reprioritising tasks.
  • Works closely with ASCC to ensure all necessary paperwork is provided for the supply chain management filing system and Payment.
  • Comply with all relevant Save the Children policies and procedures.
  • Conduct procurement activities in the ProSave system if internet access.
Required Experience
  • At least one year professional experience, ideally with an international organization.
  • Experience in logistics, supply chain and/or humanitarian work.
Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level of working experience.
