Overview
This internship supports the Internet of Things (IoT) team by assisting with daily operational checks, maintenance, lab testing, and documentation of the IoT platform and related technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with daily operational checks and routine maintenance of the IoT platform.
- Assisting with lab testing, validation activities, platform deployment, and performance evaluations for new IoT research projects.
- Assisting with PLC configuration, maintenance, and support.
- Supporting the development and maintenance of IoT documentation.
- Assisting with the installation, integration, and configuration of IoT sensors.
- Assisting with the research, testing, and evaluation of new sensors and technologies.
- Supporting troubleshooting activities, including connectivity testing.
- Assisting with any other tasks assigned by the designated official.
Required Experience
Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience.
Qualifications
- HS Diploma.
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher).
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
- Field of study must be closely related to the internship’s technical scope, such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, or other relevant engineering or ICT disciplines.
- Good knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Teams.
