Overview
This internship focuses on supporting programme management and outreach activities within the United Nations Office at Geneva, contributing to innovative approaches for long-term sustainability and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research on sustainable development concepts and trends.
- Support policy and programming discussions in thematic focus areas.
- Assist in synthesizing research for briefing materials, reports, and correspondence.
- Support project management activities and implementation of key initiatives.
- Assist in organizing and facilitating events and workshops.
- Contribute to narrative reporting for various partners.
- Help identify opportunities to apply social innovation, design thinking, and futures thinking.
- Help plan and facilitate team ideation sessions.
- Support the development of promotional materials and content.
- Assist in drafting and editing content for the Lab’s website, social media, and other platforms.
- Help create visuals and graphics using tools such as Canva.
- Participate in meetings with key partners and stakeholders.
- Assist in partnership-building efforts and developing collaboration opportunities.
Required Experience
While no prior work experience is required, applicants are asked to list any experience they may have with programme management and social innovation; research and policy analysis; communications and stakeholder engagement; and collaboration and multi-stakeholder partnerships.
Qualifications
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher) e.g., in international development, sustainability, engineering; or
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's level or equivalent).
- Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Master’s or Ph.D. Programme or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PH.D. Programme.
