Overview
The Senior Associate Mechanical Engineer will support planning processes related to project-required goods and will coordinate, manage, and supervise various engineering disciplines for hospital infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the review of technical specifications for works.
- Respond technically to queries from bidders.
- Support and coordinate participation in bid evaluation committees.
- Monitor and review technical reports from third parties.
- Coordinate and support the preparation of project proposals.
- Monitor and review the correct execution of works.
- Control the quality of executed works and monitor quantities.
- Coordinate and support joint work with other involved specialties.
- Support and perform selection processes for technical teams.
- Coordinate and support infrastructure project management.
- Monitor that infrastructure projects incorporate sustainability criteria.
- Perform and support any other technical advice required.
- Support, review, and maintain updated all project documentation.
- Prepare technical documents, studies, systematizations, and progress reports.
- Participate in the review of documents and issue technical opinions.
- Participate in the evaluation and proposals for technical approval of third-party products.
- Perform coordination and monitoring of projects in their various stages.
- Participate in the review of progress reports and issue opinions/recommendations.
- Visit sites to obtain information related to equipment installation.
- Perform all coordination and/or technical coordination meetings.
- Conduct coordinated technical visits to designers and contractors.
- Perform technical assistance to the project and work networks.
- Review and take corrective measures regarding equipment requirements.
- Coordinate/hold technical coordination meetings and attend queries from entities/awardees.
- Submit progress reports, periodic reports, final reports, and other technical reports.
Required Experience
- 1 to 7 years of professional experience as an engineer in one or more areas related to heavy machinery, hydraulic equipment, and/or industrial mechanical systems.
- Experience in execution or supervision of infrastructure works in Mechanical Installations.
- Experience in hospital, educational, or institutional infrastructure projects.
Qualifications
- Completion of secondary studies is required.
- University studies completed (Equivalent to Bachelor's Degree) in Engineering such as Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, and/or related fields is desirable.
