Overview
Provide project management support for the ALERT (MEXAL6) project, focusing on criminal investigations related to synthetic drug production in clandestine laboratories.
Key Responsibilities
- Support senior technical staff and Project Coordinator in engaging project counterparts, identifying needs, and capacity building for criminal investigations.
- Assist in documentary analysis, diagnostics, and evidence-based deliverables related to evidence management, chain of custody, investigation files, and other criminal investigation processes.
- Assist in designing, adapting, and validating materials, methodological tools, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for evidence management, chain of custody, and clandestine laboratory investigations.
- Support logistics for training sessions, workshops, and meetings.
- Facilitate and support training and learning sessions.
- Facilitate working groups with security institutions, justice procurators, regulatory authorities, and other relevant actors.
- Assist in designing, adapting, and validating training materials and methodological tools.
- Serve as a liaison with service providers, external consultants, and project counterparts.
- Facilitate necessary internal and external communication.
- Support the development and updating of monitoring tools, progress tracking sheets, and risk/issue logs.
- Compile, prepare, and archive documentation related to project trainings and activities.
- Assist in drafting and quality control of reports, meeting minutes, and donor/partner presentations.
- Support compliance with project, UNODC, and donor policies, procedures, and requirements.
Required Experience
- Relevant experience supporting activities related to criminal investigations, criminal intelligence, evidence management and/or chain of custody, or related areas.
- Experience in capacity-building activities for security and/or justice institutions.
- Experience in implementing actions related to criminal investigations of organized crime offenses and/or offenses related to illicit drug production.
- Demonstrable proficiency in productivity and collaboration tools (MS Office, G-Suite, or equivalents).
Qualifications
- Requerido:
- Secondary education (High School) or equivalent with 6 years of relevant experience OR
- University degree (Bachelor's degree or equivalent) in any discipline with 2 years of relevant experience.
Deseable:
- Professional certification related to criminal investigation, criminal intelligence, evidence management and/or chain of custody, drug trafficking, synthetic drugs, or related areas.
- Master's degree in criminal law is desirable.
