Overview
Provide assistance, care, and services to Unaccompanied Migrant Children (UMC) residing in an assigned shelter, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in daily center operations.
- Ensure implementation of individual daily programs for beneficiaries.
- Escort children to social and/or medical services.
- Provide guidance on personal hygiene, cleanliness, and home economy.
- Update coordinator on material needs and manage replenishment.
- Oversee and prevent damage to equipment and facilities.
- Maintain entry-exit book of minors and visitors.
- Handle crisis and emergency situations.
- Coordinate with local authorities.
- Ensure security of accommodated children on 24-hour shifts.
Required Experience
- Experience or training in child protection, protection of unaccompanied minors, vulnerability management, reception of applicants for international protection, or integration of recognized beneficiaries of international protection.
- Familiarity with direct assistance to migrants and/or refugees, particularly children.
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
- Experience with diverse populations and cultural sensitivity.
- Experience working in a multi-cultural environment.
- Willingness to work on day/night shifts, during holidays and weekends.
- Positive records of previous experience in a similar field.
- Valid driver’s license with at least five years of driving experience will be an asset.
Qualifications
• High school degree in Greece or proven attendance at a foreign school.
