Overview

Provide assistance, care, and services to Unaccompanied Migrant Children (UMC) residing in an assigned shelter, ensuring their safety and well-being.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in daily center operations.
  • Ensure implementation of individual daily programs for beneficiaries.
  • Escort children to social and/or medical services.
  • Provide guidance on personal hygiene, cleanliness, and home economy.
  • Update coordinator on material needs and manage replenishment.
  • Oversee and prevent damage to equipment and facilities.
  • Maintain entry-exit book of minors and visitors.
  • Handle crisis and emergency situations.
  • Coordinate with local authorities.
  • Ensure security of accommodated children on 24-hour shifts.
Required Experience
  • Experience or training in child protection, protection of unaccompanied minors, vulnerability management, reception of applicants for international protection, or integration of recognized beneficiaries of international protection.
  • Familiarity with direct assistance to migrants and/or refugees, particularly children.
  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
  • Experience with diverse populations and cultural sensitivity.
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Willingness to work on day/night shifts, during holidays and weekends.
  • Positive records of previous experience in a similar field.
  • Valid driver’s license with at least five years of driving experience will be an asset.
Qualifications

• High school degree in Greece or proven attendance at a foreign school.

• Fluency in Greek (written and oral).
Languages Preferred
• Working Knowledge of English or French or any other language would be considered as an asset.
