Overview
Supports the implementation and follow-up of Weapons Contamination activities within the delegation’s area of responsibility. Contributes to the effective delivery of WeC programming by collecting, compiling, and analysing relevant information, supporting community-based activities, and maintaining contact with local authorities and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the WeC team in implementing, monitoring, and following up approved WeC activities in the field.
- Collect, compile, and maintain accurate WeC-related information, including contributing to the WeC Incident Database.
- Contribute to the assessment and analysis of the security, socio-economic, cultural, and political environment relevant to WeC activities.
- Support capacity-building activities for national authorities and National Societies.
- Contribute to written reporting on WeC activities.
- Maintain working-level contacts with local authorities and community representatives.
- Translate, interpret and document, as required, to support WeC activities, meetings, and engagement with local stakeholders.
- Monitor and report events, trends, and contextual changes within the area of responsibility.
Required Experience
3 years of demonstrated experience in humanitarian field work, community engagement, or protection-related activities and 2 years in Humanitarian Mine Action experience.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences
