Overview
Provide technical support in the design, implementation, and monitoring of programme interventions, and draft inputs for fundraising project proposals in areas related to education and child protection.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to Programme Specialist/Social Sector and Child Protection Section in the design, implementation, and monitoring of planned and ongoing programme interventions.
- Draft and provide inputs to fundraising project proposals in programme areas related to Inclusive Education, Social-Emotional and Digital Skills, STEM for Girls, Career Pathways for Children with Disabilities, Education in Emergencies, and Deinstitutionalization and Prevention of Institutionalization.
- Contribute to the national education agenda ensuring future sustainable development of Belarussian society.
- Strengthen Inclusive Education interventions based on project results.
- Strengthen Social-Emotional Skills (SES) interventions in collaboration with educational institutions.
- Prioritize empowerment of girls for successful careers in STEM.
- Build on project results for Career Pathways for Children with Disabilities interventions.
- Continue Education in Emergencies interventions in partnership with regions.
- Focus Child Protection interventions on strengthening the education system’s capacity to prevent institutionalization and advance deinstitutionalization of children.
Required Experience
- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in areas related to the rights of children with disabilities and their families, inclusive education and education for sustainable development, career pathways for children with disabilities and deinstitutionalization.
- Experience in institutional capacity strengthening projects, preferably with a focus on inclusive education, social-emotional learning, preventing institutionalization and advancing deinstitutionalization of children and career pathways.
- Experience in project monitoring, including development of tools, data systematization, and preparation of technical reports.
- Experience in drafting fundraising proposals in areas related to inclusive education, STEM for girls, education for sustainable development, social-emotional skills, deinstitutionalization and career pathways for children with disabilities.
- Experience in institutional dialogue with diverse stakeholders (government, institutions, donors, international organizations).
- Previous experience working with international organizations.
Qualifications
Masters degree in Education, Special Education, Inclusive Education, Social Work or related areas. *two years of additional relevant work experience that was gained after obtaining a bachelor’s degree may be accepted in lieu of advanced university degree, if it is 1) exceptionally approved by Representative and 2) indicated in the vacancy announcement.
