Overview

Plan and deliver high-quality, client-focused, and value-for-money services pertaining to the Management Services portfolio to enable staff to deliver food assistance to beneficiaries, in line with WFP’s strategy.


Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Management Services components of WFP’s Country Strategic Planning (CSP) and Resource Planning.
  • Contribute to the development of annual plans, adapting policies, procedures, processes, standards, and systems.
  • Manage and/or carry out specialized functional analysis using data-driven approaches.
  • Build and maintain productive partnerships with WFP’s internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage the existing resources and estimate new requirements.
  • Manage the establishment and execution of contracts and long-term agreements.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of standard emergency preparedness and response actions.
  • Provision of inputs to the country office business processes mapping and implementation of the internal standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Oversee the procurement processes.
  • Utilize digital tools and applications to their fullest potential.
  • Prepare and implement designated components of UN Reform-related inter-agency initiatives.
  • Conduct oversight field missions.
  • Manage and motivate diverse teams.
  • Lead on processing and management of invoices and payments.
  • Oversee tracking and collating data to support improvements in policies, systems and procedures.
Required Experience

At least five ( 5 ) year of postgraduate professional experience (may be public or private sector); experience in general administrative work; Demonstrated experience in general administration and management services. Proven experience in team leadership and supervision. Experience working in emergency operations and/or complex operational environments.

Qualifications

Advanced University degree in Business/ Public Administration or related fields , or First University Degree with additional years of related work experience and/or training courses.
