Overview
Provide video/audio/webcasting services and operate relevant equipment for internal and external meetings and conferences. Support the planning, organization, and implementation of technical aspects for these events.
Key Responsibilities
- Manages operation of conference halls AV and interpretation systems and other equipment, ensuring preventive and regular maintenance.
- Liaises with AV companies for repairs and suggests options for procurement of new equipment or spare parts.
- Assists in deployment of new conferencing equipment and provides training on using conferencing systems.
- Programmes and operates AV systems and stage lights, setting up and handling web casting, videoconferencing, and internet-based communication.
- Responsible for recording key meetings and events and their dissemination.
- Rearranges conference halls and meeting rooms to meet technical and physical requirements.
- Liaises with staff at all levels to plan, anticipate, provide, and improve required services, including providing drawings of planned set-ups.
- Functions as a dedicated ASC resource for video/audio production and support for key WHO meetings, including travel to other locations if required.
- Acts as a technical resource for management on AV systems, interpretation equipment, and streaming services.
- Performs other duties as requested.
Required Experience
- At least five years of experience operating video/audio/webcasting equipment in support of meetings and conferences.
- Experience in coordinating external contractors and technicians.
- Desirable: Relevant experience working in WHO or in the UN; experience supporting international conferences in various locations.
Qualifications
- Essential: Completion of secondary school or equivalent.
- Desirable: Training in audio visual systems installation, operation and maintenance.
