Overview

Support programme development and donor liaison efforts, particularly in the scope of migration management. Facilitate procedures related to partnership strategies, programme development, and donor liaison.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support project development actions by maintaining contact with donor counterparts and submitting proposals, concept notes, appeals, MoUs, and contracts.
  • Coordinate timely and accurate preparation and dissemination of reports for donors.
  • Contribute to periodic and activity-specific reports from the Mission, Regional, and Headquarters.
  • Coordinate Mission strategies and programme strategies.
  • Research, draft, and present documents for project development, reporting, and donor liaison.
  • Maintain contact with potential donors and support programme coordinators and project managers in donor consultations.
  • Liaise with relevant authorities, UN agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders.
  • Take part in planning, organizing, and coordinating the Programme Development, Strategy, and Support Unit Work Plan.
  • Provide support to program management for project proposals and concept notes.
  • Assist in coordinating relationships with key partners, particularly Turkish government focal points.
  • Provide technical support in the preparation of meetings and consultations with donors.
  • Provide updates on donor profiles and donor intelligence.
  • Identify opportunities to secure traditional and non-traditional resources.
  • Share knowledge and enhance organizational effectiveness through the development and use of templates, tips, mechanisms, and guidelines.
  • Guide and train staff in project development and reporting.
  • Assist in drafting and editing reports for donors and the Country Office (CO) in English.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of IOM Türkiye-implemented programs, projects and activities, and donor requirements.
  • Keep accurate and pertinent records of all correspondence and project development and reporting files.
  • Undertake duty travel within Türkiye as required.
Required Experience
  • University degree in English, Politics, International Relations or a related field from an accredited academic institution, with four years of relevant professional experience; or
  • Completed high school degree from an accredited academic institution, with six years of relevant professional experience.
  • Excellent command of English.
  • Proven experience in working, editing and writing documents in English.
  • Proven experience working in the field of resource mobilization or project development.
  • Experience in technical writing and editing, preferably in the international development/humanitarian sector.
  • Working knowledge of donor liaison and project development an asset.
  • Experience in design and facilitation of training/educational events.
Qualifications
  • University degree in English, Politics, International Relations or a related field from an accredited academic institution; or
  • Completed high school degree from an accredited academic institution.
