Overview

The Intern – Supply Chain will be responsible for managing resource management functions in Senegal, supporting procurement and asset management activities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the consolidation of procurement requisition forms.
  • Assist in the preparation of tender documents and solicitation of bids.
  • Support the monitoring of open requisitions and follow up on timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Assist in reviewing vendor invoices and preparing payment requests.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of procurement records.
  • Participate in market surveys to identify potential new suppliers.
  • Assist in tracking contractual agreements and monitoring office supplies.
  • Provide support to fleet operations activities.
  • Assist in supply chain tasks related to property and asset management, warehousing, and transportation.
Required Experience
  • Experience in the usage of office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and knowledge of spreadsheet and data analysis.
  • Experience delivering high-quality outputs within set timeframes, demonstrating excellent time management and ability to prioritize tasks under tight deadlines.
Qualifications
  • Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first University degree programme (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent), or in a Master's degree or higher in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field; or,
  • Have graduated with a University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, and if selected, must commence the internship within one year of graduation.

Fluency in English is required (oral and written).
Languages Preferred
Working knowledge of French is an advantage.

Remuneration
Depending on experience and location, IOM provides a small monthly stipend to help offset costs. IOM will also provide travel arrangements and will cover visa-related costs.
