Overview

The Team Coordinator will orchestrate and harmonize technical, operational, and community engagement components of critical infrastructure restoration in Myanmar.


Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate community infrastructure teams under direct implementation and partnership modalities.
  • Support needs assessments and data collection.
  • Develop and maintain work plans for recovery activities.
  • Facilitate translation of technical designs into actionable tasks.
  • Collaborate with procurement for material sourcing.
  • Supervise daily implementation of infrastructure activities.
  • Ensure compliance with technical standards and UNDP guidelines.
  • Conduct monitoring visits and report on progress.
  • Promote transparent communication with affected communities.
  • Uphold UNDP standards for safety, environmental, and social safeguards.
  • Prepare and submit regular progress reports.
Required Experience
  • At least 7 years of professional experience working on community infrastructure, shelter, housing, or construction-related projects with UN agencies, international organizations, humanitarian or development organizations, or in the public or private sector.
  • Ability to identify innovative approaches and practices to overcome complex and specific situations encountered in the field
  • Experience ensuring compliance with Social and Environmental Standards (SES) or similar safeguards in project implementation
  • Proven experience in coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, local communities, and partner organizations to ensure effective and timely implementation of reconstruction or rehabilitation projects.
  • Demonstrated experience applying community-driven or community-based approaches, including community engagement, consultations, and participatory approaches to assessments.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or any other relevant field.

Remuneration
The applicable volunteer living allowance is provided monthly to cover housing, utilities and normal cost of living expenses. Life, health and permanent disability insurance are included. Furthermore, in non-family duty stations that belong to hardship categories D or E, as classified by the ICSC, a Well-Being Differential (WBD) will be provided monthly.
