Overview
Responsible for providing safe and efficient driving services to staff, visitors, and for daily errands. Ensures vehicle maintenance and adherence to safety and security guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides transport service to staff, visitors, and for daily errands.
- Prepares and submits monthly vehicle usage reports.
- Maintains up-to-date data on fuel consumption.
- Uses log sheets for daily movements and adheres to safety and security guidelines.
- Receives vehicles with accessories via hand-over documents.
- Handles clients with care and respect.
- Respects the faith and culture of different communities.
- Respects departure and arrival hours according to the logistic manual.
- Handles confidential matters with care.
- Maintains records of logbook, fuel consumed, and repair costs.
- Conducts daily checks of engine oil, radiator, and windscreen washer water.
- Conducts weekly checks of brake and clutch oil, battery water, and tire pressure.
- Ensures all lights and indicators are working properly.
- Ensures the assigned vehicle is not driven by unauthorized persons.
- Maintains all safety and security measures for the vehicle.
- Ensures the vehicle is clean, fueled, lubricated, and regularly serviced.
- Keeps tools and reserve tires with care.
- Cleans seat belts daily and insists passengers do the same.
- Carries out minor vehicle maintenance and keeps maintenance logs.
- Displays the Save the Children logo on vehicles where appropriate.
- Parks vehicles in safe and secure areas.
- Undertakes minor vehicle repairs.
- Reports accidents immediately.
- Adheres to Save the Children rules and regulations.
- Strictly performs other related tasks as required.
- Transports materials to respective destinations.
- Gives due care to materials during loading and unloading.
- Requests repair and service by filling out designated forms.
- Checks vehicle repair and maintenance against repair orders.
- Possesses knowledge of the local area.
Required Experience
- At least 2 years of work experience in International NGOs/ Governmental organization with clean driving records.
- Experience in vehicle maintenance is an advantage.
Qualifications
- Completion of 12th grade or 10th grade in new education curriculum.
- Auto Mechanic diploma or certificate is advantageous.
- Own at least 3rd grade valid driving license.
