Overview
The Partnership and Advocacy Officer will support the organization's partnership, grant management, and advocacy initiatives, focusing on strengthening collaboration with Refugee-Led and Women Lead Organizations and advancing localization commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage sub-grants, ensuring partner compliance.
- Build partner capacity.
- Support advocacy efforts that promote meaningful participation, leadership, and funding access for local and refugee-led actors.
- Collaborate closely with the Partnership Coordinator and work in continuous consultation with the Influencing, Policy, and Communication Manager.
Required Experience
- At least 5 years (for Bachelor’s) or 3 years (for Master’s) relevant work experience.
- Experience working with local organizations, community-based organizations, and Refugee-Led Organizations (RLOs).
- Demonstrated experience in project management, partnership development, grant administration, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience supporting localization initiatives and capacity-strengthening programs.
- Knowledge of local laws of the country including finance, tax, and procurement.
- Demonstrated expertise in partner compliance and ensuring adherence to donor and organizational requirements.
- Proven capability in advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and strategic networking with diverse actors.
- Proficiency in report writing and effective communication across all functions.
- Sound understanding of humanitarian principles, localization frameworks, and refugee protection systems.
- Familiar with and abide by the NGO/Red Cross/Crescent Code of Conduct, the People in Aid Code, CHS and SPHERE principles.
Qualifications
• BA/BSC/MA/MSC in Accounting/Finance, Business Administration, Development Studies, Business Management and Economics from recognized University.
