Overview
Support the planning and implementation of activities with parliamentarian stakeholders in Germany, assist in fundraising efforts, promote IOM’s mandate, and help safeguard migrant rights.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the roll-out and implementation of the Bundestag Engagement Strategy.
- Assist in developing resource mobilizing strategies and mechanisms.
- Assist in fundraising activities.
- Conduct mapping of prospects of parliamentarian engagement.
- Assist in implementing outreach plans for new partnerships.
- Collect, analyze and present information on parliamentarian priorities and trends.
- Coordinate administrative project implementation.
- Organize meetings and events, workshops and training sessions.
- Participate in conferences, meetings, and workshops.
- Assist in building, documenting, and sharing best practices.
- Support the monitoring and reporting of progress made against KPIs.
- Support the Unit in compiling data and drafting reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including general administrative support.
Required Experience
- Work experience in engaging and liaising with partners and donors, including the German national parliament (Bundestag) is required.
- Work experience in a similar function and/or with national, regional or international public bodies is an asset.
- Experience organizing events and meetings.
- Work experience in fundraising is considered an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the German national parliament (Bundestag).
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Political or Social Science, Migration Studies, International Relations, Development Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution; or,
- Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, Migration Studies, International Relations, Development Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience.
