Overview
Support transportation based in Ukraine, to plan and manage fleet/logistics activities in support of relief operations. Responsible to drive, manage and administer the vehicle to provide safe and efficient transport for operations teams and field offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out daily vehicle driving duty and inspection of vehicle.
- Guarantee safe transportation of passengers and cargo.
- Ensure vehicles carry a Vehicle Logsheet, First Aid Kit and Fire Extinguisher.
- Ensure vehicles are cleaned inside and out.
- Report accidents, damage, or defects to the Supply Chain Team Leader and Security Specialist.
- Check and ensure Vehicle Logsheets are correctly completed and submitted.
- Park assigned vehicles correctly during the day and at night.
- Advise Supply Chain Team Leader of needed service and maintenance.
- Check assigned vehicle after repair.
- Comply with traffic regulations and applicable laws of Ukraine, and DRC internal rules.
- Monitor fuel states and organize refuelling.
- Maintain possession of a valid driving license and ensure renewal.
- Maintain communication with Supply Chain Team Leader and Security Specialist.
- Perform work in accordance with operational needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supply Chain Team Leader.
Required Experience
- At least three years of accident-free driving experience in a similar position, preferably with international non-governmental organizations (INGOs).
- 4x4 / off road experience.
- Manual transmission experience.
- Knowledge of the technical characteristics of vehicles.
Qualifications
• University degree (secondary education is the minimum requirement).
