Overview
The Communications Associate will support UNFPA Bihar programmes and advocacy interventions by increasing visibility among stakeholders. The role involves developing communication materials and documenting flagship programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support in the execution of state specific communications and media strategy and plan
- Develop programmatic communications products such as, brochures, leaflets, facts sheets, and posters
- Develop innovative communication materials such as training toolkit, BCC modules aimed at community advocacy and engagement
- Document flagship programmes and turn it into compelling products such as success stories, case studies, testimonials, human interest stories
- Assist in proofreading and editing reports, documents as well as developing content for talking points, remarks etc.
- Support the team with curation and coordination of events, campaigns, workshops highlighting the work of UNFPA Bihar and building relationships within the ecosystem
- Liaise with the Communications and Media Unit in organising media workshops, media visits, press release and media information kit
- Liaise with the Communications and Media unit and highlight state specific events via social media reportage and posts.
- Perform any other duties as requested by the State Head.
Required Experience
- A minimum three years of relevant work experience in digital and social media, communications and/or public relations;
- Demonstrated understanding of design tools and softwares (Canva). Adobe design suite is desirable
- Photography experience and basic skills in video editing and production will be an advantage
- Demonstrated experience in conceptualising and designing communications materials and collaterals
Qualifications
Master's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or other related areas.
