Overview
Support the project team to ensure effective project planning and implementation, and to support partnerships and resource mobilization.
Key Responsibilities
- Compile and summarize information and data for project work plans, budgets, and proposals.
- Provide support in all aspects of project implementation, ensuring quality of delivery and compliance with UNDP policies.
- Support mainstreaming gender equality in project implementation.
- Provide administrative and logistical support for project delivery, including event organization, procurement, record keeping, and recruitment.
- Establish and maintain contacts with relevant stakeholders and ensure regular communication.
- Support the creation of project visibility among stakeholders.
- Undertake horizon scanning for resource mobilization opportunities.
- Support the implementation of the project monitoring system and prepare progress reports.
- Collect, analyze and present information for monitoring, evaluation, and audit purposes.
- Assist in organizing project events and field visits.
- Assist in implementing effective risk management for the project.
- Monitor expenditures and commitments against the project budget.
- Prepare and consolidate required project reports.
- Participate in training and organize briefings on internal procedures.
- Support capacity building activities and dissemination of project knowledge and lessons learned.
Required Experience
- A minimum of 7 years (with high school diploma) or 4 years (with a bachelor’s degree) of progressively responsible administrative or project experience is required.
- Experience in the use of computers, office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and web-based management systems, and advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages.
Qualifications
- University degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or equivalent field will be given due consideration.
- Secondary education is required.
