Overview
Support NRC’s Shelter and WASH team in South Lebanon in the implementation of field activities under both emergency response and regular programming. Contribute to the delivery of timely and effective assistance to affected populations.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate and monitor Emergency, shelter and WASH activities.
- Implement delegated Emergency Response project portfolio.
- Produce accurate drawings, reports, measurements (BoQs) and/or photographs as evidence of a technical assessment.
- Prepare and develop status reports.
- Carry out data collection and ensure proper filing of documents.
- Ensure minimum Shelter and WASH standards are applied.
- Mobilize communities and community leaders.
- Administrate payment requests for partners, contractors, suppliers, construction workers etc.
- Carry out related mainstreaming of protection in programme daily implementation.
- Conduct rapid and precise technical assessments.
- Identify needs and propose scope of intervention.
- Supervise the contractor’s rehabilitation work.
- Assist beneficiaries with technical advice.
- Ensure that all materials used and work performed address beneficiaries’ needs.
- Monitor, supervise and inspect the quality of the works.
- Check plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculation.
- Distribution of Basic Assistance Kits, WASH-related kits, and other emergency-related supplies.
- Report activities using distribution lists, field reports, attendance lists, and Kobo online activity reporting.
- Generate comprehensive weekly and monthly situation reports.
- Prepare daily report, consent forms, cooperation agreements and all other needed documentation.
- Conduct multi-sectoral need assessments.
- Water sampling and testing.
- Data entry.
- Report all protection-related concerns.
- Report code of conduct breaches.
- Share skills and experience within the team.
- Perform any other relevant Emergency Response duties.
- Perform any other relevant Shelter and WASH duties.
- Participate in any trainings or assessments required by NRC Programmes.
Required Experience
• 1-2 years of experience working on Projects in a humanitarian/recovery context
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Architecture engineering, or any related field
