Overview
The Digital Learning Trainer will facilitate ICT skills training, provide user support for online job accounts, and offer technical assistance for ICT equipment. The role also involves integrating digital freelancing and emerging technologies into training to promote employment and income generation outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in mobilization and enrolment of digital learners.
- Prepare training manuals.
- Establish and maintain the digital training database.
- Keep inventory of ICT equipment.
- Support needs assessment and propose improvements for digital learning and online jobs.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly plans.
- Integrate digital livelihoods pathways into program design.
- Update training content to reflect market demand and emerging technologies.
- Supervise community-based Digital Skills Trainers.
- Develop and submit project updates.
- Track and report on key outcome indicators.
- Maintain a tracer system for graduates.
- Conduct training sessions focused on digital literacy and learning skills.
- Plan and implement active learning for students.
- Formulate schemes of work, lesson plans, and records of units covered.
- Evaluate students and provide feedback.
- Provide IT support in the IT lab center.
- Work with stakeholders in delivering Digital Skills training.
- Facilitate mentorship and coaching for graduates.
- Facilitate linkages between trainees and potential employers.
- Support formation and strengthening of peer learning groups.
Required Experience
- Two-year previous experience in teaching youth in a school/college / Vocational training institution setting
- Experience in working with underprivileged youth.
- Support on line collaboration, user support, software and hard ware maintenance
Qualifications
• Diploma/Higher Diploma or Degree in IT, BBIT, Computer science or related field of study is required
