Overview
The position is in the United Nations Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Statistics, Data and Digital Service (SDDS). The internship programme is offered on a remote or in-person basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with statistical and analytical activities related to Illicit Financial Flows (IFFs), South-South cooperation (SSC), and/or Beyond GDP;
- Assist with the preparation of documentation and the organization of meetings;
- Assist with analyses and the drafting of reports;
- Perform other duties as required, including assisting with outreach activities.
Required Experience
No working experience is required to apply for the United Nations Internship Programme. Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience.
Qualifications
- Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: a) Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or, b) Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's level or equivalent).
- Should be computer literate in standard software applications;
- Have knowledge of data analysis and/or programming (R, Python, Stata or similar)
