Overview
The Project Associate will support the Project Manager in the day-to-day implementation of project activities, drafting progress reports, and liaising with stakeholders. The role involves supporting project planning, budget control, and ensuring timely and efficient administration of project inputs.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of AWPs and annual budgets and procurement plans.
- Provide general administrative and logistic support for project activities.
- Support the control of budget expenditures and review financial reports.
- Keep regular contact with project experts and consultants.
- Provide English translation as required.
- Organize project events, meetings, workshops, and site visits.
- Prepare inputs to APR and compile project reports.
- Draft correspondence, notes, briefs, and other documentation.
- Prepare inputs to procurement related documents and assist in bid evaluation.
- Assist in the selection of project experts and consultants.
- Provide assistance in reviewing and providing feedback on technical reports.
Required Experience
- A minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible administrative experience (with high school diploma) or 4 years (with bachelor’s degree).
- Proven 1 year of technical experience in climate change adaptation/local climate action planning/vulnerability risk assessment.
- Experience in project cycle management.
Qualifications
- Secondary education is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration/economics, engineering, political/social sciences, city and regional planning, climate change, environmental sciences, or related fields will be given due consideration, but it is not a requirement.
