Overview
The role involves coordinating, facilitating, and mentoring youth advocates in a campaign for healthier food environments for children. This includes developing toolkits and providing guidance for campaign implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support youth-led planning, designing, implementation, and evaluation of the campaign strategy and workplan.
- Facilitate the development of a campaign toolkit in various formats, co-designed by youth advocates.
- Provide mentoring and coaching sessions to youth advocates.
- Amplify the youth-led campaign through outreach and engagement with stakeholders.
- Strengthen linkages with other initiatives to advocate for better school food environments.
- Liaise with UNICEF staff to update the campaign website.
- Develop a monitoring and evaluation plan with research tools.
- Conduct evaluations of key activities.
- Prepare a comprehensive report of the process, achievements, and lessons learned.
- Compile policy briefs and case studies.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 5 years or more of relevant experience.
- Knowledge in social and behavior change, and community engagement.
- Previous experience with nutrition and food systems or health promotion.
- Experience in engaging and working with young people.
Qualifications
Advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in: Nutrition, Public Health, Behavioral Health Sciences, Psychology, sociology, Health Education and Promotion, Social Sciences or another related field.
